The Brit, who was born in Washington DC but raised in Luton, is under investigation by the Directorate for Investigating Organised Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT) and reports in Romania claim he and his brother are being questioned on suspicion of forming an organised crime group which used girls in adult videos.

The brothers were released while the investigation continued but was detained again on Thursday in connection with an investigation into human trafficking, rape and forming an organised crime group.

Romanian prosecutors said the Tate brothers along with two unnamed people “appear to have created an organised crime group with the purpose of recruiting, housing and exploiting women by forcing them to create pornographic content. They would have gained important sums of money.”
