Police are still unsure whether there was foul play involved in her disappearance, but after more than 24 hours without any trace of her, they are preparing to expand their search to other cities in the state and surrounding areas, including Portland and Ashland.

A woman who was last seen in Wilderville on May 12, 2017, has yet to be found, despite local police and the FBI joining forces to find her. Police spokesperson Susie Lee says that they have no suspects or persons of interest at this time but are following up on several leads and that the case is still active and open.

Wilderville, CA – Yesterday, 52-year-old Brenda Smith was reported missing by her husband after she did not return home from walking the family dog in their neighborhood. Smith’s husband, Mike, claims that he walked the dog in the afternoon while Brenda watched television at home and then went outside to walk the dog again later in the evening when she still had not returned home. Smith told police that he became concerned when his wife failed to return on time because she always kept to a schedule and never missed routine events like this before.
