First of all, we would like to tell you that the winner of Miss World 2021 was declared Karoline Bielawska from Poland. The main event of the beauty pageant was held in Puerto Rico. Unfortunately, India’s Manasa Varanasi failed to make it to the top. Apart from this, Indian-American Shree Saini from the United States became the first runner-up in the contest that happened at the Coca-Cola Music Hall in San Juan. She was followed by Olivia Yace from Cote d’Ivoire as the second runner-up.

However, Manasa Varanasi from India managed to make it to the top 13 and it comes almost three months after Harnaaz Sandhu from India was crowned Miss Universe 2021, that too, 21 years after India got the crown. Manasa Varanasi who was born in Hyderabad was shifted to Malaysia at a young age because of her father’s work. She completed her schooling at Global Indian International School. After that, she moved back to India and enrolled in Vasavi College of Engineering Hyderabad where she studied computer science.

More than 90 contestants from different countries have competed in the pageant, however, the finale of the contest was postponed owing to the outburst of Covid among staff and even the finalists. Manasa was also one of them who was tested positive for Covid in December. The jury members include Miss World 1986 Giselle Laronde, British novelist, columnist, author Patrick Robinson, CEO of the Miss World Organization Julia Morley, and many others.
