On Saturday the last night of 2021, the Atlanta Hawks hosted the fourth annual “Pride Night” against Charlotte.
The theme of the night was “Allyship Teaches Love”, which spells A-T-L and will feature special rainbow lights with the iconic “ATLANTA” letters and a midtime performance of the Lips Drag Queen Show.
The celebration continued with a special game performance by rapper and influencer Saucy Santana, who is known for his two hits “Walk” and “Here We Go”.
“We are committed to advocating diversity, fairness and inclusiveness at all levels, and creating unforgettable experiences so that everyone is welcome in every game, especially on our annual pride night,”
Hawkes Executive Vice President and Chief Personnel, Diversity and Inclusion Officer said, Carmi McGee.
“This year’s Pride Night amplified the importance of the alliance, and we hope the Atlanta community knows that we are allies of the LGBTQIA+ community.”
In 2015, the Eagles were the first professional sports team in Atlanta to participate in Atlanta’s annual Pride Parade. Since 2015, they have paraded and participated in celebrations.
