Train Accident Maple Ridge
As per the latest reports, a deadly collision happened between a truck and a train on the tracks in Maple Ridge on Thursday afternoon, in which a man passed away.
After the accident, the emergency services were called to a railway crossing in Whonnock at 272 Street and Lougheed Highway at around 05:30 pm on Thursday afternoon, to find a semi-trailer truck that was struck by a passing freight train. The authorities immediately reached the scene and started the investigation of the crash.
The witnesses on the scene stated that the force of the crash caused the trailer from the semi to swing around and pin an SUV under. That vehicle was supposed to be sitting at the crossing. The woman driver was allegedly trapped inside. The firefighters also arrived at the scene and used the jaws of life to free her, and in spite of lots of efforts, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene, as per the witness. The witnesses have described the accident as a scary one. However, there are no details are revealed about the victim woman who died in the crash.
Even the identity of the victim is under the curtains. The police authorities have been searching to find more about the woman. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Ridge Meadows RCMP, the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service, and also the BC Coroners Service are expected to be on the scene much of the night and investigating the accident.
