What Is Neutrality Allowance In Ghana?
He was hoping for a positive response from the court for him, but he only got disappointment. As per the Kwaku Azar, the demand made by the public servants is unusual because, in most democratic dispensations, public servants are required to be neutral. He was thinking a lot but could not get anything. A post had been shared on April 22, 2022, the private legal practitioner indicated that the demand of the civil servants set the wrong precedence.
Not only Professor Stephen was demanding for the civil servants must be paid political neutrality allowance because in most countries civil servants are neutral and they do not have to follow any political order on their heads. Rather than they were also demanding for the neutrality allowance albeit with substantial risks, to be incentivized to be partisan. When the decision of the court did not come in the favor of civil servants. So members of civil servants and local government Staff Association Ghana (CLOGSAG) have been on strike since Thursday, April 21, over the inability of the government to pay their neutrality allowance.
People have been divided into two parts. One who is sport to the decision of the court and another who does not support the decision. They believe that civil servants should have the power of neutrality. So they could work without any pressure and it would be in favor of the country. It would be helpful for everyone.
