The system where the investigative documents are stored is auditable and surveys are being carried out to identify all accesses to the inquiry into the death of Marília Mendonça.

In reaction to the news, the singer’s mother, Ruth Dias, asked for respect. “Have respect and empathy and understand that there is a family that suffers whenever situations like this occur”, she asked.

The family’s lawyer, Robson Cunha, said he was outraged by the material released and said that it is “inconceivable that exclusive documents from a police investigation that runs in secrecy and with access restrictions have been released in an irresponsible, inhumane and criminal way”. “This is a very serious fact and both the State and the agents who disseminated the image must be held accountable. I also inform you that those who disseminate and continue to share this type of content are also incurring a crime and may be held liable in court”, he added.
